| | | Has anybody heard of them? I went in yesterday, and payed $10 for them to take a polaroid, because they didn't like the snapshot I brought in. All I want to do is get parts as an extra in film. Anyway, the guy told me that they would need $595, in order to get headshots taken, and so I could take weekly acting lessons. He also said that I could put up the first half, $295, and then get the pictures taken and start getting assignments, then pay the rest when I got jobs. I know it sounds suspicious, the first thing anyone ever says is not to pay to work. What I was wondering, though, is it possible that this agency could get me work, and that I'll get paid in the end? It doesn't seem like a place could survive if they kept screwing people over, and this place has been around for ten years. Any thoughts? |

| | | Absolutely not! have you read our fourm regarding scams? This sounds like a SCAM to take your MONEY. You should NEVER EVER have to pay to get work as an extra. It sounds as though they are turning an audition into a sales pitch! We have many members that get work as extras and they do NOT have to pay for the opportunity to any casting director or company. You may do stuff for no pay, but you never have to pay them!!!! Just the fact that they made you pay 10.00 for a snapshot is an indication that they are not casting they are selling. Please read our fourm on scams and keep this rule of thumb. NEVER, EVER pay one cent to anyone who is telling you that you are auditioning for a job. If they ask for money in any shape or form.. leave immediately!!!! At the very least go home and think about it and research before giving away money. Don't worry, they will always be there to take your money if you decide to go back and pay them. People like this prey on the hopeful and ignorant. Knowledge is power, learn all you can before you give anyone one cent. The EFM Staff

is a bunch of crooks they will take your money give you a job or 2 and claim to add it to what you owe than they will call you saying they have not got paid yet and if they don't get the rest of the money they will terminate your contract with them and you will never get those pictures they claim you are paying for because they have not gottan the rest of your $600 that you owe them. However they force you to take acting classes through them even if you have more experience than this acting teacher they hire from the street. I test them out and found out I got scam by them they are not real. They will give you a few extra jobs but that is all you will ever get only extra jobs and it will take some time to see a dollar from them.
