DOCUMENTARY PRODUCERS, WRITERS, AND MEDIA

Justice On Trial, Inc. a nonprofit defendants rights organization is in the process of formulating a documentary series.

The pilot for this series will feature the details, with some ‘crime-scene reenactment,” of a high profile double murder, the Mickey Thompson Murders.

Segments on these crimes have aired multiple times on America’s Most Wanted, Unsolved Mysteries and elsewhere. There has been extensive press coverage in the L.A. Times, and ancillary publications, locally and in Sports Illustrated, Time, Car & Driver, etc.

CBS NEWS’ 48 HOURS aired a full hour, “Murder In The Fast Lane” on May 20th, 2002. This segment repeats, with updates on Wednesday, August 6th, CBS National feed and in a TBA fall date with a re-edit.

A former business associate of Mickey Thompson’s, Michael Goodwin, has been charged, 14 years after this 1988 crime, in what the defendant he alleges is a political prosecution. Goodwin alleges, and the prosecution has now admitted, evidence fabrication/manipulation and other malfeasance, however, he is still in custody, 19 months from his 12/14/01 arrest.

Justice On Trial will be looking at Goodwin’s view of the prosecution in the light of revelations regarding the massive improprieties in the case and how this kind of prosecutorial misconduct occurs frequently in courts across America. We have rights to other, similar, similar stories for subsequent episodes of Justice On Trial.

We anticipate the pilot will be 1 hour. We’re looking for experienced writers and producers.

Also we are interested in interested cable networks and or syndicators for airing of this prime programming.

Details are available at www.JusticeOnTrial.org.
