have waited until now to email you since I wanted to be sure this project
was definitely going to happen and it is... In November of last year through
your website I responded to a casting notice from a director in India.
To make a long story short, I am only one of two American actors (both
female) chosen to star - I repeat - star in this feature film.
I am being flown to India next month for a week then again to Palm Beach
Florida in July 2005. I am also getting paid decently. This has all been
overwhelming, obviously!
I check all the major casting sites regularly and ExtrasforMovies was

Hey Chris, I read that the staff of Extrasformovies.com might be closing
the "open call section" to non-members. You guys wanted people
to email you back about what they thought of that. I am not a member,
I am considering it, but still, keep the "open call" section
available. I have browsed through all the selections for the past 4 or
5 months, and I have been able to keep up with what is going on, given
that I have no high contacts. I did however, from this site get the idea
that all I needed to do is talk to a producer, keep in contact and that
that would get me somewhere. So, I tried talking to a producer, and sure

Hello,
My name is David Carter and I saw the posting and wanted to take a minute
and thank you for putting this site together. I along with countless others
am hopeful and looking for that big break into the business. On a whim
and being tired of doing mindless jobs I did a google search on film extras
in atlanta. I ran acrossed a list of sites, many sites, that promise casting
call information and some go as far as "guaranteeing" you work.
All of which will be given to you once you create a personal profile and
become a member. For the low, low price of.... In my spare time online
research I've heard from many sources that you shouldn't have to pay for
those listings and should only be charged a fee if you were to create
a portfolio to be listed on that particular site. Most sites won't let
you see anything until you do that and are more than happy to take your
credit card number after promising you big and virtually immediate results.
I've visited extrasformovies... almost daily since I first found it. The
very first time I looked at the casting call page I sent a picture and
some clothing sizes to a casting for an HBO movie filmed here in Atlanta
called Warm Springs. By the time I had gotten home from work there was
a message on the answering machine and I ended up working 3 days on that
project as a paid extra.
Since then I have found numerous listings for everything from music video
extras to modeling auditions in Atlanta or surrounding areas. I have had
a variety of opportunites to pursue and although I wasn't picked for every
one your site has given me what most of us are really looking for....
and that's an opportunity - a chance. I never would have thought much
more about it or probably looked any further because of these different
sites asking for money before giving you anything. I'm glad that I have
found extrasformovies... and that you have kept the information free for
aspiring folks such as myself. Please keep up the great work and please
keep this site free. Many thanks to everyone on your team that makes extrasformovies.com

(extra). During the shoot, the production company decided to cut out

UPDATE: Just checking in to update you on the details
from the audition I got through your site. So lets see, I got the email
from your site May 26. I
responded pretty much immediately, and got a response from the guy later
that night. We emailed back and forth a few times setting up auditions,
and he was really flexible about it. Yesterday I actually had the audition
and in turn got the part. He sent me the script today and he has been
keeping in constant touch. This was nick from electric vertigo films
(evfilms), in case you need to know that too. we're set to start shooting
later in the month, no specific date yet, but I'll let you know when
that happens and what comes of it. Again, thanks for the work.
